POLICY OBJECTIVE (S)

THE HIGH LEVEL DESIRED OUTCOME (S) RESULTING FROM THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE POLICY AND / OR THE REASONS WHY THIS OUTCOME (S) IS NECESSARY.

No unauthorised product may be sold from the outlet.  An unauthorised product being sold out of an outlet is in conflict with both brand standards as well as food safety standards.

Only approved products can be loaded onto the outlet point of sale.  Only approved ingredients/ products can be purchased from an approved supplier.

ABBREVIATIONS & DEFINITIONS

APPROVED SUPPLIER This is a supplier that the franchisor has negotiated and agreed ingredient and price with.
APPROVED PRODUCT This is a product that the franchisor has made available for a franchisee to sell from the outlet.
APPROVED INGREDIENT This is an ingredient that is used as an input into a recipe.  eg:  Frozen pie, Tomato, flour, etc.

POLICY IMPLEMENTATION

PROCEDURES / ACTIVITIES / STEPS THAT NEED TO BE COMPLETED SEQUENTIALLY TO ACHIEVE THE POLICY OBJECTIVES.
THE POLICY IMPLEMENTATION FORMS THE BASIS FOR BUSINESS REVIEWS.

  1. Before the outlet begins to trade, the outlet must enquire from the franchisor what products are available for sale, which ingredients are available from which suppliers.
  2. All products / ingredients must be purchased from approved suppliers.  A product may not be purchased from anywhere.  eg:  Coke 330ml
  3. Products, suppliers, ingredients and pricing must all be loaded into the outlet point of sale by the franchisor before the franchisee can begin to trade.
